I decided to approach the theme of contamination imposed by time by creating a triptych of cement works. The three compositions represent plasters belonging to different historical periods, diversified by the techniques of reproduction of the masonry and decorative apparatus.

Each painting shows peeling portions, contaminated by the inevitable passage of time: by intervening on them I was able to enhance them through sinuous and spontaneous lines, thus depicting subjects that interacting with each other tell a story.

These stories come to life during the execution of the work following the analysis of the shape of the encrustation, thus resulting in the illustration manifested through my idea of perception based on synaesthesia.

Ogni epoca esprime se stessa

POZZA DELLE ANIME

140 x 96 cm

The work replicates a Neoclassical style wall contaminated by the action of time, responsible for the incrustations that, thanks to the addition of the line, tell the descent of souls into hell.

A RITMO DI SHAMISEN

140 x 96 cm

The work replicates a Renaissance style wall (through grotesques) contaminated by the action of time. It depicts a moment of universal celebration, in which sins re-emerge or can be appeased (wanting to look up) Purgatory as earthly life. Player who looks at you to make you participate in the scene (earthly representation), does not look upwards (divine search) because he finds the divine in his own art.

PARADISO CELATO

140 x 96 cm

The work replicates an urban style wall contaminated by the action of time. The hidden paradise shows itself exclusively to the eyes of the curious.
